Mr. John “Jack” Lewis Beasley: Obituary

Mr. John “Jack” Lewis Beasley, age 77 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Thursday morning, December 10, 2015, at the Gilmer Nursing Home in Ellijay, Georgia.

He was born Monday, May 2, 1938 in Whitestone, Georgia to his late parents Fred Hoke and Minnie Lou Clayton Beasley. Mr. Beasley served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was self employed as a contractor in the construction business.

He is survived by his precious companion, Louise Beasley of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Tim Griggs of Ranger, GA.; sons and daughters-in-law Ricky Jack and Sharlese Beasley of Ellijay, GA and Fred and Melanie Beasley of Ellijay, GA.; grandchildren Jacob Beasley, Ricky Beasley II, Wendy Dunn, Bridget Pierce, Jackson Samples, Tiffany Coleman, Tabitha Burney, Kelly Nelson, Jack Rogers, Jessie Burnette, Amber Wilcox, Erin Bryant, and Courtney Griggs; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Agatha Edmondson of Ellijay, GA and Denise Patterson of Soddy Daisy, TN.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 12th, 2015 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Barnett officiating. A military graveside service will immediately follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military rites performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Graveside interment will follow in the Corinth Church of God Cemetery in Talking Rock, GA. Pallbearers will be Matt Coleman, Justin Burney, Jaycin Merrell, Rhett Woody, Cole Johnson and Ricky Beasley, II.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Logan Funeral Home.
