Mrs. Norma Lee Horton Newton: Obituary

Mrs. Norma Lee Horton Newton age 74 of Ellijay, GA died Monday December 14, 2015.

Mrs. Newton was born June 22, 1941 in Cherokee Co., NC to the late Lee and Ora  Pickelsimer Horton. She was a member of the Flat Branch Baptist Church and a  Gilmer High School Graduate Class of 1958. She was the manager of the Fabric  Outlet in Ellijay, GA for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Troy  Newton; sister, Cleo Williamson; brother, Bernard Horton and parents.

Survivors Include: daughter and son in-law, Charlene and Kenny Miller, of Ellijay, GA; granddaughter and spouse, Sonia and Junior Jenkins, of Cherrylog, GA; great grandchildren, Madison and Jacob Jenkins; brother, Rev. Elton Horton, of Ellijay, GA; sisters, Joy Watkins, of Murphy, NC and Iva Jean Oliver, of Jefferson, GA; special friend, Cleborn McArthur, of Ellijay, GA.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 16th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Beason and Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday December 15th from 3pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
