Mr. Clifford Calvin Painter, Sr. age 90, of Ellijay, died Wednesday December 16, 2015.
Mr. Painter was born October 26, 1925 in Gilmer County the son of the late James Boyd and Rosa McClurd Painter. He retired from Firestone Rubber Co after 35 years of service as a tire builder, during that time he never missed a day of work, he also served in the Pacific Theater in the US Army in World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen Zara Painter and son Clifford Calvin Painter, JR.
Survivors include: sons and spouse; Matthew Painter and Rosemary Warmenhoven, Lexington, KY and Joseph Painter, Akron, Ohio, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and his beloved companion Missy.
