Mr. William Scott Smith age 59 of East Ellijay died Friday January 1, 2016.
Mr. Smith was born August 14, 1956 in Gilmer County the son of the late Foster and Dorothy Head Smith. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School Class of 1974 and Pickens Tech, worked in maintenance for the City of East Ellijay and worked many years for Penland’s Grocery in downtown Ellijay.
Survivors include: wife Linda Gibbs Smith, son and daughter-in-law Levi and Jessie Pless , daughter and son-in-law; Karri and Simon Cole, brother, Don Smith, grandson Tristan Pless.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Kelly officiating. Interment will be in the Turniptown Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
