John Terry Young: Obituary

Mr. John Terry Young, age 56 of Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday, January 17th, 2016.

Mr. Young was born November 21st, 1959 in Tate, GA. He was of the Baptist faith and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Terry is preceded in death by his father Noah Harlow Young and brother, Perry Young.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Inez Young of Ellijay, GA; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Bill Shotwell of Villa Rica, GA, June and Andy Anderson of Jasper, GA, Debra and Jerry Clark of Carrollton, GA, Donna Young Roper of Ellijay, GA and Tina Young Hughes of Ellijay, GA; Brother, Gary M. Young of Rapid City, SD; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, January 22nd 2016 from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Parks, Rev. Paul Young, and Rev. James Thompson officiating. Music and vocals will be by Randall Bramlett, Cathy Simmons Taylor and Barry Parks. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Shannon Young, Johnny Hughes, Ricky Holmes, Bill Shotwell, John Damon Hughes, Jerry Clark and Andy Anderson serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 8pm onThursday, January 21st, 2016 at Logan Funeral Home.
