David Lee Woodring: Obituary

Mr. David Lee Woodring, age 69 of the Pleasant Grove community, Ellijay, GA passed on Saturday evening, January 23rd, 2016.

Mr. Woodring was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, born June 10th, 1946 in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Noah Franklin Woodring and Artie Lee Davis Woodring. He is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia W. Goble and brother, Waldon Woody Woodring.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Wayne Sluder of Ellijay, GA and Betty Sue and David Raikes of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Jean Woodring, Eugene and Carolyn Woodring, and Grady and Lillian Woodring, all of Ellijay, GA; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 with Rev. Larry Stover and Rev. Willie Young officiating. Music and vocals will be by Rev. Willie Young, Loy Jarrett, and Karen Buchanan. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Mark Woodring, Larry Mulkey, Steve Woodring, Gary Woodring, Jeff Watkins, Billy Stillwell, Tim Griggs and Joel Donnie Stillwell serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 9pm on Monday, January 25th, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home.
