Mary K. Withrow: Obituary

Miss Withrow was born March 2, 1920 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Jack and Emma Plemmons Withrow. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a retired teacher having worked in the Gilmer County School System for 35 years. Mary loved farming and was a member of the Cattleman’s Association, along with the Chapter #340 Order of the Eastern Star and the Gilmer County Retired Teachers Association. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and will be long remembered for her harmonica performances each year at the Heart Fund Show.

Survivors include: sister; Ruby Graham, Sandy Springs, along with nieces and nephews, J.T. Withrow, Buford Withrow both of Ellijay, Jack Dover, Blue Ridge, William E. Bailey, Smyrna, ,Robbie Graham Exley, Woodstock, Willie, G. Adams, Atlanta, Donna G. Sams, Sandy Springs, Becky Graham, Atlanta, Hilda G. Green, Smyrna, Beth Fawcett, Mableton, Pearl Withrow, Ellijay several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. James Holt and Rev. Sam Burcham officiating. Interment will be in the Mountaintown Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends SUNDAY FROM 12NOON UNTIL 3:00PM at the funeral home.
