David Ralston Officially Announce Candidacy for Re-Election, State Representative from House District 7

I was honored to attend the Fannin County GOP Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday. Surrounded by so many friends and neighbors, it was the perfect time to officially announce my candidacy for re-election as State Representative from House District 7.

Representing this community in the Georgia General Assembly has been a great and special honor. It is one for which I will always be grateful. I have used this position to uphold our values: to create jobs for Georgians, better educational opportunities, protecting our constitutional rights and liberties, downsizing government and balancing your state budget every single year.

During these six years, we have enacted tax reform, immigration reform, strengthened our protections under the Second Amendment, made Georgia the number one state in the nation in which to do business and have grown our Republican majority in the Georgia House to its largest number in our state’s history. On Thursday of last week, the House passed a bill at my request to protect our pastors, clergy and churches from being forced to participate in marriage ceremonies which would violate their faith.

While I am proud of what we’ve accomplished, we cannot quit now. Challenges lay ahead of us. More work remains to be done.

I hope you will stand with me in the May 24 Republican Primary. I promise, in return, to always stand for this community and this place you and I both call home. May God bless each one of you and may he continue to bless the great state of Georgia!
