Qualified Candidates for Gilmer County:

For the position of Post 1 Commissioner – Dallas Miller, Rick Day, Jeff Baxter, and Ronnie B. Hefner.

For the position of Sheriff – Stacy Nicholson.

For the position of Tax Commissioner – Rebecca Marshall.

For the position of Clerk of Superior Court – Glenda Sue Johnson.

For the position of Probate Judge – Andrew Lowman, Susan Keener, Josh Teague, and Scott Chastain.

For the position of Board of Education Post 1 -Thomas Ocobock

For the position of Board of Education Post 2 – Jim Parmer.

For the position of Board of Education Post 3 – Nich Weaver

For the position of Surveyor – Jeffrey Vick.

For the position of Coroner – Jerry Hensley

For the position of Magistrate Judge – Roger Kincaid.

As qualifying closed, Stephen Aaron, Chairman of the Gilmer County Republican Party spoke with FYN saying,

“We have qualified many good candidates for the 2016 Election Cycle. I know that members of the Republican Party look forward to a very spirited election. It is not often, especially at the local level, that you have so many good citizens qualify to run for office.”
