The Gilmer High School golf team showed tremendous stamina this week, completing two road matches in the same number of days.The travels were capped off with the Lady Cats dropping a 166-169 match to the Kennesaw Mountain Lady Mustangs yesterday, while the Bobcats fell 173-209.
Macie Chastain shot a 51 to lead the Gilmer girls against Kennesaw Mountain, while Joshua Dobbs shot a 44 to lead the Bobcats.
The Kennesaw affair came just 24 hours after GHS teed off in Union County, in a tri-match with the Panthers and the Towns County Indians.
The Bobcats finished third in the tri-match, with a 203. Union won by shooting a 186, while Towns was just behind with a 190.
Dobbs again led the boys by shooting a 45.

The Lady Cats fell 135-188 to Union, as Towns only had one girl player and therefore, did not qualify for a team score. Chastain was again the low shooter for the Gilmer girls, finishing the day with a 54.
