Both the Fannin County High School and Gilmer High School golf teams traveled to Crystal Falls Golf Club in Dawsonville yesterday, for a tri-match with the Tigers.
The visitors greeted Dawson rudely, as the Fannin Rebels won the boys match by shooting a 180. Gilmer finished second with a 190, while the Tigers recorded a 209.
Meanwhile, the Lady Cats edged out a seven-stroke victory, shooting a 160. Dawson took second with a 165, while the Lady Rebels shot a 167.
For the Rebels, both Michael Arp and Alex Chastain led in scoring by shooting a 45. Shane Stepp and Ben Bruce each recorded a 46, while Austin Panter had a 48 and Andrew Ladd compiled a 55.

Tyler Queen was the lowest scorer for the Bobcats, shooting a 45. Joshua Dobbs had a 47, while Kanyon Smith and Dylan Stewart both recorded a 49. Tanner Cantlay shot a 50 and J.T. Bosley finished his day with a 51.
Leading the Lady Cats was Macie Chastain, who recorded a 51. McKenzie Chambers had a 53, while both Mary Lee Callihan and Mallory Kiser shot a 56 and Natalie Watkins compiled a 57.
Aubree Pack led the Lady Rebels by shooting a 52. Bailey Whitener recorded a 54, while Presley Porter shot a 61.
Tomorrow, Gilmer will travel to Towns County, while Fannin welcomes Lumpkin at Old Toccoa Farms Golf Course.
