Mr. Larry Donald Walker: Obituary

Mr. Larry Donald Walker, age 75 of the Cartecay community, Ellijay, Georgia passed on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Walker was born February 11, 1941 in Lawrenceville, Georgia to his late parents Wachel Woodrow and Mable Hewatt Walker. He was a member of Juno Baptist Church, and a retired truck driver for Pickens County and L&N. Larry was a true outdoorsman who loved to fish and work his land. He is preceded in death by his sister Linda Walker and brother Jerry Walker.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Runelle Holman Walker of the home in Ellijay, GA; Daughter and son-in-law Debra and Leonard Bailey of Acworth, GA; Son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Robin Walker of Jefferson, GA; Grandchildren and in-law, Erinn and Rick Giblin, Caleb Walker and Ryan Bailey; Great grandchildren Annistyn Giblin and Brantley Giblin; Sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Bud Bragg of Sugar Hill, GA; Brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Dot Walker of Rydal, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 9th, 2016 from the Juno Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA with the Rev. Mickey Wheeler, Rev. Brody Hughes, and Rev. Tommy Weldy officiating. Music and vocals will be by Vicky Turner and Eva Reece. Graveside interment will follow in the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Logan Funeral Home.

Flowers are acceptable, or donations may be made to the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 1230 Juno Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534 in memory of Mr. Walker.
