Mrs. Pat P. Hester: Obituary

Mrs. Pat P. Hester, age 78, of Ellijay, formerly of Kennesaw, died Monday April 18, 2016, in her home after a brief terminal brain disease.

She was born February 17, 1938 in Cartersville, GA to the late Lee and Vesta Grant. She and her family moved to Kennesaw when she was seven. Pat attended Sprayberry High School and was a life member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. In 2006, she retired after 30 years, in the florist business. Pat enjoyed people and was always so full of life. He husband of 55 years, William T. (Bill) Hester preceded her in death on February 14, 2015.

Survivors include her daughter; Renee Lacy and grandson Austin Lacy both of Ellijay, sister, Dot White of Kennesaw and niece and husband Debbie and Neal Carver of Ellijay, along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 25, 2016 at 11:00am from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Kelly officiating. Music will be by her nephew, Rev. Brent Davis. Interment will be Monday at 2:00pm in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Jerry Barnes attending.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 2 until 4pm and 6 until 9pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Georgia Mountains Hospice 70 Caring Way Jasper GA. 30143 in memory of Mrs. Hester.

Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
