William Stanley Blomeley, Jr., age 94 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
He was born July 4, 1921 to his late parents William Stanley Blomeley, Sr. and Cordilia Urslene Elzy Blomeley in Brighton, Alabama. He was of the Methodist Faith and was a graduate of Miami Technical High School. Mr. Blomeley served in the United States Army Air Corp during the Korean War and was retired with Pan American Airlines where he was an international pilot.
Survivors include daughter, Sherry Lynn Blomeley of Marietta, GA.; daughter and son-in-law Susan Bernice Croyle (Douglas) of Mountain Home, ID; sons and daughters-in-law Stanley Blomeley II (Charity) of Gainesville, FL, “Bill” William R. Blomeley (Terry) of Ellijay, GA, David C. Blomeley (Susie) of Ellijay, GA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law James L. Blomeley (Beverly) of Marietta, GA.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with his son, David Blomeley and Rev Irene Wofford officiating. Graveside interment will be in the Cartecay United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26th, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home.
