Mr. Harley Edwin McArthur, age 77 of Smyrna, Georgia passed on Saturday, May 28, 2016.
Harley was born September 16, 1938 in Ellijay, GA to his late parents Everett Day and Leila Gertrude Miller McArthur. Mr. McArthur was a member of First Baptist Church of Smyrna. He graduated from Gilmer High School, Class of 1956, served in the United States Air Force, and retired from Lockheed Martin after 51 years of service as an maintenance engineer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eloise Crawford McArthur, sister, Willa Nell Fowler, brothers, Howard Lee McArthur and Jerry McArthur.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Keith Biron of Alto, GA and Nancy and Brian Whitman of Powder Springs, GA; Grandchildren, Morgan Biron, Evan Biron, Sara Ellis, Mason Ellis, Lauren Whitman and Daniel Whitman; Sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Thomas C. Tabor of Marietta, GA and Jeanette Royston of Austell, GA also survive.
Graveside services will be at held 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31st 2016 at Cartecay UMC Cemetery with Mr. Tim Moore officiating. Pallbearers will be James Vanvost, J.D. Johnson, Christopher Mayfield, Andrew Mayfield, Keith Biron and Brian Whitman.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Logan Funeral Home.
