The 2016 Ellijay Telephone Company Summer Slam 10U Invitational was held last Friday night, at Field One of the Gilmer County Parks and Recreation.
Fannin defeated Gilmer in the opener, 10-4. Copper Basin then beat Pickens 7-2, to set up the title game. After a thrilling affair, Fannin bested Copper Basin 8-5 to win the tournament. Gilmer downed Pickens in the third-place game, 14-3.
