Mr. Emmett Lamar Gorman: Obituary

Emmett Lamar Gorman, age 88 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, He was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ, born February 22, 1928 in Cedartown, Georgia, and was the son of the late Fred and Ruth Zuber Gorman. Mr. Gorman was a graduate of Cedartown High School and was employed by CNX as a train dispatcher.

Survivors include his wife Irene Stanley Gorman of the home in Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law Sue & Carl Gade of Woodstock; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Leigh Gorman of Blanchard, OK;; grandchildren Ryan and Eric Gade; brothers and spouses, Don and Joe Gorman of Lawrenceville, GA and Milton and Jan Gorman of Acworth, GA.

A Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday July 29th, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones and Min Johnny Mackey officiating. Interment will follow in the Ellijay Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Funeral Home
