Robert Brock Fouts, age 79 of the Coosawattee community, Ellijay, Georgia passed on Tuesday evening, August 23, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Fouts was born September 6, 1936 in Hazard, Kentucky to his late parents Robert Brock and Pearl Grauman Watts Fouts. Robert graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School, Class of 1954 and went on to earn his associate degree from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. He also served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Strategic Air Command deployment and worked in the IT department of Eastern Airlines. He is preceded in death by his brother, William “Bill” Fouts.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Amie Elouise Rasberry Fouts of the home in Ellijay, GA; Daughters and son-in-law, Sherri Lynn Grubbs of Columbia, SC, Laurie and Chester Rieman of Robbinsville, NC and Margaret Louise Grubbs of Charlotte, NC; Sons, Donald Brock Fouts of Decatur, GA, Robert James Grubbs of Charlotte, NC and Jason Elliot Grubbs of Between, GA; Three grandchildren; Two great grandchildren; Sister, Emily Mitchell of New York, NY also survives.
A military graveside memorial service is being planned and will be held at a later date.
