Mr. William David Thurman, age 54 of the Whitepath community, Ellijay, Georgia passed on Sunday, September 18, 2016.
Mr. Thurman was born November 16, 1961 in Ellijay, Georgia. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and worked for Simmons Grading as a heavy equipment operator. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ida Bell Ash Thurman.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Jake Padgett of Ellijay, GA; Son and daughter-in-law David Jack “DJ” and Sarah Thurman-Kendall of Ellijay, GA; Father and step-mother Jack and Vernie Thurman of Chatsworth, GA; Sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Troy Pritchett of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren, Tristin Kendall and Kayleigh Kendall; Nephews, David Pritchett, Michael Pritchett and Terry Pritchett.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel Min. Butch Jones officiating. Graveside interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
