Mrs. Jean Parks Waters, age 84, of Ellijay died Tuesday September 27, 2016.
Mrs. Waters was born July 1, 1932, in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Rebecca Jones Parks. She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, was the owner of The Georgian Lighting Gallery and member of the Salem Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by husband; Jim Waters, brothers. Lin, Burley, Burt and Clem Parks, sisters, Dora Parks, and Willie McVey.
Survivors include: brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Brenda Parks, Ellijay, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Sutton officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 12 noon 2pm at the funeral home.
Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
