Mr. Charles A. Henson, age 85, of Ellijay, died Thursday November 11, 2016.
Mr. Henson was born, May 28, 1931 in Gilmer County, the son of the late Robert and Willie Mae Painter Henson. He was retired from GA Marble Company and was a member of the Turniptown Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by parents, brother; Edward Henson and sisters, Mattie Garland and Gladys Silvers.
Survivors include; wife; Jean Henson, son and daughter-in-law: Dale and Kathy Henson, daughters and sons -in-law; Patricia and Jerry Davis, Shelia and Jackie Stanley all of Ellijay, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00pm from the Turniptown Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones, Bro. Lewis Cantrell and Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Saturday from 4 until 9pm at the Funeral Home.
