Mrs. Sarah Ann Sanford DeFoor: Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Ann Sanford DeFoor, age 83 of Fayetteville, Georgia passed on Friday, November 25th, 2016, at her residence in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Mrs. DeFoor was born May 29, 1933 in Ellijay, Georgia to her late parents Burt Sanford and Lona Barnes Sanford. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Ellijay and worked for Davenport Hosiery Mills. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.S. DeFoor.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and John Goins of Fayetteville, GA, grandchildren, Jillian and Aaron Rafter of Fayetteville, GA, James Goins of Fayetteville, GA, great grand daughters, Marlee and Livia Rafter, sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Cecil DeFoor of Ellijay, GA., sisters-in-law, Virginia Sanford, Pat Sanford and Judy Sanford all of Ellijay, GA, and a host of special nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Monday, November 28th, 2016 from the Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Beason, Rev. Jamie Dotson and Rev. Billy Dotson officiating. Music and vocals will be by Sherry Davis and the Crossroads Baptist Church Choir. Graveside interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2pm until 8pm on Sunday, November 27th, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home.
