Mr. Louis Bernard Bowen, Sr., age 93 of Ellijay, GA, formerly of Atlanta passed on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Gilmer Nursing Home. Born November 4, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia. to his late parents, Louis Belk Bowen and Lucile Elizabeth Savarese Bowen. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelors Degree in Business and a honorably discharged US. Navy veteran that served during WWII. Mr. Bowen retired with Sears and Robuck working as a buyer for the catalog division. He was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Ellijay, GA. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jane Cunningham Bowen.
Surviving are his son, Louis B. Bowen, Jr. of Ellijay, GA, daughter, Priscilla Bowen of Ellijay, GA.
A Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday December 2nd, 2016 at the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta with Father John Adamaski officiating.
