Gilmer County Lifting of Countywide Burn Ban
Effective December 6, 2016 the burn ban for Gilmer County will be lifted as long as conditions permit. The rain received over the last couple of weeks has helped to ease the extreme fire danger at this point.
Please keep in mind that all burning of debris must have a permit issued by Georgia Forestry. Burning of garbage and man made materials is prohibited.
We would like to thank the citizens of Gilmer County for the cooperation and attentiveness during the burn ban.
