Mr. Jerry Lee Chambers, Sr. : Obituary

Mr. Jerry Lee Chambers, Sr., age 68 of Ellijay, GA passed on Saturday December 31st, 2016 at his residence. Born September 8th, 1948 to his late parents Kenny Samuel and Helen Louise Davis Chambers in Gainesville, Georgia. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and retired as a general contractor in the construction industry. Mr. Chambers loved to work his garden and had a natural “green thumb”. He is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Chambers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 300 West Emery St. Suite 106 Dalton, GA 30720 in memory of Mr. Chambers.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joanne Cotton Chambers of Ellijay, GA, daughters and sons-in-law, Desty and Enrique Aguilar of Gainesville, GA, Sherry and Tommy Branson of Dalton, GA, Helen and Dylan Pritchard of Chatsworth, GA, sons and daughters-in-law, Scott Roberson of Oakwood, GA, Terry Chambers of Opp, AL, Jerry Chambers, Jr. of Milton, FL, “Ricky” Richard and Angie Chambers of Ellijay, GA, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters, Judy Seivier of Waleska, GA, Brenda Sue Hughes of Sugar Hill, GA, brothers and sister-in-law, David Chambers of Sugar Hill, GA, Joey and Catherine Chambers of Dawsonville, GA, brother-in-law, Robert Cotton of Nicholson, GA, sister-in-law, Amanda Webster of Winder, GA, special friends, Gus and Lorene Logan.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday January 3rd, 2017 from the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Kent and Rev. Jamie Kerr officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Michael Kent, Derrick Hamby, Terry Chambers, John Sisson, Joshua Elliott, David Marlow, Dylan Pritchard and Victor Ramos serving as pallbearers.
