Mrs. Stella Elizabeth Mooney Bramlett: Obituary

Mrs. Stella Elizabeth Mooney Bramlett, age 80, of Ellijay, died Saturday, January 7, 2017

Mrs. Bramlett was born October 13, 1936 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late George Washington and Sallie Smith Mooney. She was a homemaker and member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and also loved cooking, canning and gardening. Her husband Gordon, and sons Coy and Steve preceded her in death.

Survivors include: children and spouses, Ernest Bramlett, Ellijay, Aline and Paul Dockery, Mineral Bluff, Carl and Shoney Bramlett, Ellijay, Harold Bramlett, Ellijay, Billy Bramlett, Ellijay,Lorene and Bobby Whitaker, Ellijay, grandchildren; Ernest Bramlett, JR, Samantha Durden, Eric Bramlett, Taylor Dockery, Dylan Bramlett Hannah Davis, Garrett Bramlett, and Nathan Bramlett, great-grandchildren, Maeleigh and Paisley Bramlett, Gabriel and Chalmer Davis, brother and sister-in-law; James Hassell and Inez Mooney, Chatsworth and lifelong friend Janie Hammontree of Dalton, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. John Reece officiating. Interment will be in the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Monday from 4 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
