Mrs. Ina Mae Baxter, age 97 of Ellijay, died Tuesday January 17, 2017.
Mrs. Baxter was born May 28, 1919, in Gilmer County, the daughter of the later Henry H. and Callie Key Parks. She was a homemaker and member of the Nine Mile United Methodist Church. Her parents, husband William McKinley Baxter, son Tommy Baxter and daughter; Marie McAfee preceded her in death.
Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law: William and Sheree Baxter, Ellijay, Donald Wimpey, Newnan, daughters and sons-in-law; Sue Kelly, Stockbridge, Ruby and David McCollum, Jerri and Randall Dover, Christine and Billy Nealey all of Ellijay, Irene and Jerry Ledford, Buford, Naomi and Donnie Lowman, Missouri, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 20, 2017 at 11:00am from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev, Allan Tarr officiating. Private interment services will be held in the Baxter Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home and they request no food be brought to the funeral home.
