Mr. Garvin Vick: Obituary

Mr. Garvin Vick, age 77 of Ellijay, GA passed Saturday, February 4th, 2017.

Mr. Vick was born June 3, 1939 in Talking Rock, GA. He is the son of the late Ernest Earl and the late Dessie (Hensley) Vick. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church and worked as an auto mechanic until he retired. He is preceded in death by his son, Kenny Garvin Vick, sister, Marie Vick Williams, and brothers Ervin Vick, Claburn Vick, Alvin Vick and J.C. Vick.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Vick of the home in Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Darrell Richards and Garlene and Jimmy Buckner, all of Ellijay, GA; son, Ashley Cordell of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Kelly Duvall, LeeAnn Richards, Michelle Merrell, Kim Land, Daniel Buckner and Nicholas Cordell; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brothers Raymond Vick and James Vick, both of Ellijay, GA also survive.

Family will receive friends from 4-9pm on Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 at the Logan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. Glen Arnold officiating. Music and vocals will be by Teresa Chastain. Graveside interment will follow in the Berean Baptist Church Cemetery with Freddie Vick, Junior Vick, Stanley Vick, Owen Cochran, Cody Buckner and Clay Vick serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Vick, Darrell Vick, Robert Vick and Brit Bowen.
