Miss Katherine C. Dale: Obituary

Miss Katherine C. Dale, age 89 of Ellijay, GA passed Sunday morning, February 19th, 2017 at her residence.

Miss Dale was born February 6th, 1928 in Ellijay, GA to her late parents William Joseph and Mary Ann Wilson Dale. She was a member of Flat Branch Baptist Church and worked for Candlewick, Armstrong, and Shaw Industries. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Ada Lou Dearing and Dorothy Fay Dale, and her brother William Vanderbilt.

Survivors include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Charles Fowler of Ellijay, GA, Elizabeth Dale Johnson of Ellijay, GA, and Lola Dale Sanford of Canton, GA; Nieces and nephews, Jackie Crowley, Ruth Whitaker, Kathy Brunson, Carol Dale Davis, Mary Dearing Ringham, Annette Gray, Bobby Dearing, Michael Fowler, Tina Fowler Mullinax, Stephen Johnson and Lisa Sanford Johnson; several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Emmett Burgess, Rev. Franklin Harper and Rev. Eugene Davis officiating. Music and vocals will be by Harold Sanford. Interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Austin Davis, Ethan Johnson, Kelly Davis, Michael Fowler, David Johnson, Justin Payne and Joe Payne serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 8pm on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at the Logan Funeral Home.
