Memorial day weekend kicks off with The Taste of Ellijay on Thursday night from 6-8 PM in downtown. It is a pet friendly event and the tickets for the various food items are $1 each. All of the local vineyards are having live music and super fun events to kick off the first weekend of Summer. River Street Tavern will have live music Friday night and all of the Tubing companies open up in full force this weekend. Lastly to conclude the weekend celebrations there will be a big Memorial Day Ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Bridge and Gardens.
