Jack Singleton, age 83, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday May 30, 2017 due to sudden illness at the Kindred Hospital in Rome, Georgia. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Hubert and Mildred Brigmon Singleton. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1951-1954. Jack and Shirley (Childs) suffered the loss of two children; Thomas J. Singleton and Rhonda L. Singleton. He is survived by his daughter; Sherry L. Singleton of Fairfield, Ohio. He retired from the Tire Dept. of Ohio, a Paramedic for the Cities of Hamilton and Fairfield. Jack suffered the loss of his wife; Orilene (Stewart) in 2013.
He is survived by son; Carlo Arnett of Hamilton, Ohio, daughters; Darlene Wilson of Sexton Creek, Kentucky and Carlene Morgan of Summerset, Kentucky, also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Michael Singleton, sisters; Susan Hawkins and Penny McHenry. Jack was a member of the Calvary Way Baptist Church in Ellijay, Georgia and the American Legion.
His family and friends are planning to hold a memorial service for him in his home town of Hamilton, Ohio. He will be deeply missed by many.
