Mr. James Leon Banks: Obituary

Mr. James Leon Banks age 63 of Ellijay died Sunday June 11, 2017.

Mr. Banks was born January 18, 1954 in Gilmer County the son of the late Claymon Banks and Mattie Sanford Banks. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1972, worked for Oriental Weavers and was a member of the Harvest Missionary Church.  His parents and brother Hayden Arnold preceded him in death.

Survivors include: wife; Kathleen Wells Banks, son and daughter-in-law;: Cameron and Cara Banks, Tampa, FL, sister; Martha Jarboe, Ellijay, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm from the Harvest Missionary Church with Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Monday from 5 until 9pm at the funeral home.

Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
