Mr. Daniel “Danny” Matthew Pearson: Obituary

Daniel “Danny” Matthew Pearson passed away on June 29th of 2017 at the age of 57 in his home in Ellijay, Georgia. Danny fought a brave battle with cancer for two years. He will be remembered for his strength, love, and compassion by everyone whose lives he touched. Danny was born in Newnan, Georgia on May 7th, 1960, as the second child to William E. Pearson, Jr., and Bonnie Sue Pearson.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle to his family and he was best known for his mischievous smile and deeds. Danny never met a stranger and displayed a magnetism that charmed all with whom he made contact. He was raised in Rockdale County, Georgia, and began to build his heating and air business in the Rockdale County area. When he and his family moved to Ellijay, Georgia, his business continued to flourish and his company of friends and loved ones continued to grow. Danny was a faithful member of Grace Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church in Dahlonega, GA and enjoyed meeting with his fellow members. He became an amazing role model for his children and his friends; in his life as well as his death.

He will be survived by his devoted wife, Sue Pearson and three sons, Patrick Chmiel, Nick Chmiel, and Eli Pearson of Ellijay, GA; Mother, Sue Pearson and Father, William E. Pearson, Jr. of McDonough, GA; Brother, Bill Pearson of Atlanta, GA; Sister, Lisa Pearson O’Connor of St. Augustine, FL; and Sister, Tina Pearson Dunlop of McDonough, GA. He also leaves a multitude of nieces, nephews, and more. He will forever be missed.

Viewing and Funeral Services are as follows: The viewing will be Friday, July 7th from 5-7 and the funeral will be Saturday July 8th at 10am. The viewing and service will be held at Bernhardt Funeral Home, 163 River St., P.O.Box 466, Ellijay, Georgia 30540.
