Mrs. Sheila Chatfield Bailey: Obituary

Mrs. Sheila Chatfield Bailey, age 81, of Athens, Ga died Friday July 14, 2017.

Mrs. Bailey was born, in Druid Hills in August 3, 1935 to Otis Brown and Olive Mitchell Chatfield. She was an educator at Reinhardt College, Emory University and the University of Georgia, subsequently, she served as an instructor in the English Department at UGA for 41 years.

Survivors are her husband, John Bailey formerly of Ellijay,  sons, Dan and Boyd and their families, her niece, Sandra and her children, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at the present time however, an announcement of a memorial service will follow later. Interment will be in the Ellijay City cemetery.
