Mr. Benjamin Louis Johnson, age 61 of Blue Ridge, GA, formerly of Marietta, GA, passed Sunday, July 23rd, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Johnson was born November 28th, 1955 in the Canal Zone of Panama to his late parents Clyde and Laura May Ernst Johnson. He served honorably in the United States Army in Beirut, and then went on to work and retire from the City of Marietta as a fireman. Ben was also an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Brian Johnson of Gainesville, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Garnell Miller of Villa Rica, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law Bruce Johnson and Paula Burgoon of Norcross, GA, Bill and Lora Johnson of Columbia, SC, and Robert and Tina Johnson of Asheville, NC.
A memorial service is being planned and will be announced later.
