Mr. Kenneth William Hensley: Obituary

Mr. Kenneth William Hensley, age 90, of Ellijay, GA passed Friday, July 28th, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Hensley was born May 9th, 1927 in Talona, GA to his late parents Joseph Bryan and Mae Teague Hensley.  He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and attended East Ellijay Baptist Church. Kenneth worked as a farmer, grading contractor and real estate developer.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Velma Christine Craig Hensley, brother James Bryan Hensley, sister-in-law Vera Craig Williams and brother-in-law Russell Williams.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Tim Mosley of Ellijay, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Carol Hensley of Tuscaloosa, AL, Joseph and Mary Hensley of Ellijay, GA and David and Lisa Hensley of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren and in-laws, Lauren Maloney, Craig and Hannah Hensley, Brent and Jenny Mosley, Jessica Hensley, Justin Hensley, Joshua and Ainsley Hensley, Nate and Rina Mosley, Lee and Nikki Hensley, Luke and Katie Mosley, Lewis Hensley, Anna Hensley, Mel Mosley, Isaac Hensley and Grace Hensley; great grandchildren, Kaden Lowman, Colin Maloney, Emma Hensley, Olivia Hensley, Hayden Hensley, Dev Mosley, Barrett Hensley, Kensington Hensley and Patterson Mosley. Sister-in-law Adele Hensley also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, July 30th, 2017 from the East Ellijay Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Kelly and Rev. Eddy Hensley officiating.  Music and vocals will be by East Ellijay Baptist Church.  Graveside interment will follow in the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery with Craig Hensley, Brent Mosley, Justin Hensley, Joshua Hensley, Nate Mosley, Lee Hensley, Luke Mosley, Lewis Hensley, Mel Mosley and Isaac Hensley serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 8pm on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at the Logan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Ellijay Baptist Church Building Fund, 672 Yukon Road, Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mr. Hensley.
