Bonnie Jean Watts King passed away on Monday July 10, 2017 at the Pruitt Nursing Center in Jasper, Ga. She was 84 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Raymond King. She is survived by her sister Harriet Bundarin of Ft. Collins, CO and four sons; Glenn Watts King of Ellijay, GA, Timothy Joel King of Oak Ridge, TN, David Jonathan King of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Daleth Mark King of Tarpon Springs, FL, as well as 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was born in Goshen, NY on September 30, 1932 to Glenn L. Watts and Clara Prichard Watts. She married Douglas R. King on December 4, 1955 and together they lived in various cities in New York, New Jersey, Vermont and Florida before moving to Ellijay, GA in August of 2011. She was employed as both legal and executive secretary positions during her secular career as well as a homemaker raising her sons.
Bonnie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since her baptism on March 16, 1955 and helped many people come to a better understanding of the Bible and a relationship with their Creator. She considered it a great privilege to teach others about God’s Kingdom.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Edgewater Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Oak Hill, FL.
