Mrs. Elizabeth M. Prather, age 79, of Jasper, died Saturday August 12, 2017.
Mrs. Prather was born October 23, 1937 in Pickens County the daughter of the late Willie and Sallie Simmons Mullinax. She worked as a caregiver and was a member of the Talking Rock Baptist Church. Her husband Lloyd Prather, son Woffard Prather, sister, Marie Fountain, and brother, Jimmy Mullinax preceded her in death.
Survivors include: son, Frazier Prather, Jasper, brother; Pinkie Mullinax, Jasper, sister; Louise Quinton, Talking Rock granddaughter, Heather Pulliam, great grandchildren, Brantley and A.J. Pulliam also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in Jasper City cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Monday from 12 noon until 8:00pm at the Roper Funeral Home.
