Mrs. Donna Belle Fredrickson: Obituary

Mrs. Donna Belle Fredrickson, age 84 of East Ellijay, GA passed on Sunday morning, August 13th, 2017 at the Gilmer Nursing Home.

Mrs. Fredrickson was born February 6th, 1933 in Eugene, OR to her late parents Vernon Hendricks and Lucille Bedinger Hendricks. She was a graduate of University High School and was a homemaker.  Donna had a green thumb and loved to garden. Her flower gardens were the talk of Walnut Mountain, often prompting passers-by to stop and chat and enjoy the beautiful variety of blossoms, which gave her much joy. She was also a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Fredrickson is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mike Millican and grandson, Tyrone Hamilton.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James “Jim” Paul Fredrickson of East Ellijay, GA, daughters and sons-in-law, Christie and Bob Baxter of Gainesville, FL, Kim Lucille Millican of Gainesville, FL and Keli And Cam Parker of Ellijay, GA, sons and daughters-in-law,  Donald and Kate Potter of Carson City, NV and David And Ginger Fredrickson of King George, VA, sister, Luverne Schaeffer of Salem, OR, brother, Darrell Hendricks of Portland, OR; She also has fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Cummings officiating. Music and singing will be by Rev. Scott Eaton, Mrs. Diana Mullen and Mrs. Christie Baxter.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 21st, 2017 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with members of John Williamson’s Sunday school class serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-9:00pm on Friday, August 18th, 2017 at Logan Funeral Home & Chapel. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund @ 164 Dalton Street Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Fredrickson.
