Mrs. Pauline Davis Abercrombie: Obituary

Mrs. Pauline Davis Abercrombie, age 90 of the Tails Creek community, Ellijay, GA passed Saturday morning, September 2nd, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Abercrombie was born April 28th, 1927 in Ellijay, GA to her late parents Grover Cleveland and Leona Burgess Davis. She was a member of Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. Pauline worked as a seamstress, and loved bowling and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play ball. She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Abercrombie, sister Cleo Davis and her brother Theron Davis.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and David Westmoreland of Ellijay, GA; son, Venson C. Abercrombie of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Gina Callihan, Andrew Westmoreland, and Joni Harvey; great grandchildren, Mary Lee, Emma, Elly, and A.J. Callihan, Hadley and Lucy Westmoreland, and Gillian and Camp Harvey; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon M. and Diane Davis of Ellijay, GA also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lamar Beason and Melvin Davis officiating. Congregational singing will be led by Roy Abercrombie. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Gap Baptist Church Cemetery with Andrew Westmoreland, Chris Callihan, A.J. Callihan, Chris Davis, Brittany Davis, Ryan Welch, Rick Davis, Tim Davis, and Scottie Davis serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 7pm on Monday, September 4th, 2017 at the Logan Funeral Home.
