Mrs. Melba Reece Mabry: Obituary

Mrs. Melba Reece Mabry, age 72, of Ellijay died Thursday September 28, 2017.

Mrs. Mabry was born December 1, 1944, in Gilmer County the daughter of the late Homer and Audell Southern Reece. She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1962, worked for many years in banking with The Bank of Ellijay, Gilmer County Bank and C&S Bank and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Survivors include: husband, Steve Mabry, son and daughter-in-law: Joe and Lisa Mabry, Canton, daughter and son-in-law: Jill and Branson Chastain, Ellijay, 3 grandchildren, Luke Mabry, Aliza Chastain, Andrew Chastain, sister; Suelle Reece Austin, Milledgeville.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00pm from the Ebenezer Baptist Church Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Michael Cantrell and Rev. John Reece officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery fund care of Foster McArthur 170  Dogwood Rd. Ellijay, Ga 30536.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 3:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
