Mr. Paul Lincoln Sammis, age 78 of Ellijay, GA passed Saturday evening, December 2nd, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Sammis was born February 12, 1939 in Freeport, New York to his late parents Alfred John and Florence Lightel Sammis. Paul served honorably as a submariner in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He worked as a building contractor in Michigan and in Florida, and also worked as a charter boat captain in St. Thomas. He is preceded in death by his brother, Roger Sammis.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Betty Horne Sammis of the home in Ellijay, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Thomas Burdick of Templeton, CA and Marcella and Wendell DeVera of Maui, HI; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Robin sammis of Topanga, CA and Mitchell Sammis and Shan Bassion of Key West, FL; grandchildren, Taylor Sammis and Kylie Sammis; sister, Audrey Sammis of Jupiter, FL; and the mother of his children, Gloria DeLano also survives.
