ELLIJAY, Ga – The Gilmer County Board of Commissioners have a proposed 2018 budget.
Being advertised for public perusal, this budget will be discussed next week at their regularly scheduled work session Dec. 13 at 8 a.m. and regular session Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.
However, the commissioners are also inviting the public to a dedicated public commentary meeting on Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
While reminding FYN that the current form, seen below, is simply a proposal, each Commissioner individually suggested they expect more work on the budget in the coming week as the Board comes together and accepts public comments.
The commissioners have also announced a special called meeting on Dec. 21 to be scheduled for budget approval before the new year.
Stay with FYN as we sit down with the Commissioners to discuss the process and as updates continue in the coming week.
