Mr. Charles B. Culp, Sr., better known as Charlie, died Saturday March 24, 2018.
Mr. Culp was born, September 2, 1930 in Charlotte, NC the son of the late Jesse B. and Amie Andrews Culp. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University, a veteran serving with the U.S. Army in Korea, and was a retired builder. Before moving to Gilmer County, Charlie, worked 7 years for the Sealtest Company in Puerto Rico and owned and operated a building supply company and cattle farm in Pine Mountain, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Mary Beth Culp.
Survivors include; wife; Vera Reed Culp. sons; Charles Culp, Jr. Honduras, Thomas Culp, Pine Mt., sisters; Dorcas Hinson, SC, Lessie Phillips, NC,, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, step-children; Connie gates, Robin Holloway, Debra Coleman and Sam Gates, Jr. all of Ellijay several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren also survive.
A memorial services will be announced later.
