Margie Driskill Rogers: Obituary

Mrs. Margie Driskill Rogers, age 80, of Ellijay, died Thursday, July 12.2018.

Mrs. Rogers was born, June 10, 1938, in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Ernest Lee and Doris Garland Walker. She was a high school graduate, and a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ. She retired after working for Blue Ridge Carpet Mills for 25 years. Her Husband Johnny Rogers and Her brother Charles Walker preceded her in death.

Survivors include; children and spouses; Steve and Karen Driskill, Ellijay, Joe and Mary Driskill, Lyman, SC,   Debra and David Wilson, Flower Mound TX, Patti Hayton, Canton, GA, brother; Roy Walker, Ellijay,  sister; Ernestine Yancey, Australia, 6 grandchildren;  Nat Mashburn, Anthony Hayton, Brittany Martin, Marcus Driskill, Tyler Wilson, and Cayley Wilson, 5 great-grandchildren,  14  nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00pm from the Ellijay Church of Christ with Minister Butch Jones officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the Macedonia Church of Christ cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ellijay Church of Christ for AGAPE 351 N. Main St Ellijay, Ga. 30540 in memory of Mrs. Rogers.
