On Thursday the Lady Cats of Gilmer High School traveled to Lumpkin Co High School to hit the volleyball court against the home team in Lumpkin and the Chestatee War Eagles out of Hall County.
Taking the court, the JV Lady Cats faced off against the JV Indians and took the defeat in two games. Lumpkin out scored Gilmer 25-15 and 25-20 to take the match win. The Lady Cats JV squad faired the same in the match with Chestatee. It took two games for the JV of the War Eagles to hand the Gilmer JV their defeat with scores of 25-21 and 25-15.
The Varsity Lady Cats were defeated by the Varsity Indians in 3 game. Gilmer took the first game of the match(25-23) but come up short in the last two by scores of 20-25 and 18-25 in the loss.
The Lady Cats took 2 out of 3 in their match against Chestatee to earn the match victory. Gilmer out scored the War Eagles 25-23, 20-25 and 25-18 in the win.
