Larry Elmer Burgess: Obituary

Mr. Larry Elmer Burgess age 69 of Ellijay, GA died Saturday September 22^nd 2018.

Mr. Larry Elmer Burgess was born in August 16^th 1949 in Gilmer County GA to the Late Ernest Burgess and Artie Davis. He worked as a Bailiff in the Gilmer County Courthouse, he was a Master Mason and was also a member at the Mt. Pleasant (Top of MT) Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Wife: Kathy Burgess, of Ellijay, GA; Sons: Neal Burgess, of Ellijay, GA; Jason Burgess, of Ellijay, GA; Tracy Cochran, of Villa Rica, GA; Scott Pierce, of Acworth, GA; Daughter: Pamela Weaver, of Ellijay, GA; Sisters: Jo Ann Reece, of Ellijay, GA; Robin Thomason, of Ellijay, GA; 16 grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 25^th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Cantrell, Rev. Sanford Fountain officiating. Graveside rites will be held by the Masonic Lodge with Rev. Roger Burgess Officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant (Top of Mountain) Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Monday September 24^th from 2:00pm until 9:00pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mr. Burgess.
