William “Bill” Charles Deloney: Obitaury

Mr. William “Bill” Charles Deloney, age 82 of Ellijay, GA passed Thursday morning, September 27^th, 2018 at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Mr. Deloney was born March 15^th, 1936 in Fairfield, AL to his late parents John Clinton Deloney and Ida Mildred Harrison Deloney.  He graduated from Hueytown High School where he played football.  Bill went on to serve honorably in the United States Air Force.  While stationed in Bermuda, he worked on electronic systems such as radar and communications equipment.  After his discharge, Bill operated his own business, selling and servicing business electronic equipment.  He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and loved fishing and gardening.  Bill is preceded in death by his siblings, Elaine Deloney, Hazel Lacey, Sarah Roberson, Gene Deloney, and John Deloney, and Peggy Quick Deloney.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Julianne “Julie” Jones Deloney of the home in Ellijay, GA; children and spouses, Cynthia and John Lippert of Alpharetta, GA, Sharon and Thomas Middlebrooks of South Carolina, Thomas and Janet Dekle of Cumming, GA, Patrick and Evie Deloney of Stockbridge, GA, David and Melissa Deloney of Covington, GA, William, Jr. and Cathy Deloney of Wisconsin; Fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, October 2^nd, 2018 from the Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor David Smedley officiating.  Graveside inurnment will follow in the Hope Lutheran Church Columbarium.

Family will receive friends from 2pm until the service hour at 3pm on Tuesday, October 2^nd, 2018 at the Hope Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hope Lutheran Church, 3295 Old Highway 5 South, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Deloney.
