Mr. George “Bug” Ridings, age73, of Dawsonville, died Wednesday October 3, 2018.
Mr. Ridings was born April 12, 1945, in Gilmer County, the son of the late Willie Gene and Mary Weaver Ridings. He was a trucker driver and of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Ridings.
Survivors include: wife: Brenda Sue Ridings, sons; Timmy Ridings, Dawsonville, Lloyd Ridings, Unadilla, brother, Billy Ridings, Blue Ridge,, sisters; Anne Teems, Brenda Weaver and Lisa Martin, all of Ellijay, 6 grandchildren, 12, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Ricketts officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Friday from 1:00pm until the funeral hour at Bernhardt Funeral Home.
