Walter Bruce Newlon

November 18, 1926 – November 11, 2018

Mr. Walter Bruce Newlon age 92 of Ellijay died Sunday November 11,2018.

Mr. Newlon was born November 18,1926,in Norwalk Ohio, the son of the late Guy Adams and Inez Vivian Barlow Newlon. He served in the US. Navy in WWII, in 1967 founded the Bruce Newlon Co and worked as a produce broker and was a member of the Ellijay Seventh day Adventist church.

Survivors include: wife: Katherine Lewis Newlon, sons and daughters-in-law: Terry and Donnie Newlon, Ellijay, Jim and Delores Newlon, Canton,  Rick and Mari Newlon, South Pittsburg, TN  15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grand daughter.

Memorial services will be held Sunday November 18, 2018 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home. Music will be by Rae Rita Peel, Beth Hehn, Praise 4 Him, Jamie Newlon Grindley, and Dr. Julia Newlon Danworth. Military honors will be by the US Navy. Interment will be in the Ellijay Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 1 until the service hour of 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to; the Josephine Edwards Christian School 12472 Hwy 515 N. Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Newlon.
